Day 1

It was a grand day!
Guests coming from over 20 tribes of this culturaly rich country of Myanmar graced the 8th Union-wide convention and the 115th year anniversary of the Myanmar Union Mission. Dressed in their traditional dresses, guests and delegates marched around the Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary to jumpstart this 4-day celebration.

As this special gathering open Wedenesday night, leadership coming from the union, missions, and other institutions gathered to open the night with inspirations and music centering its focus on the event’s theme, “His Everlasting Mercy and Faithfulness.”

Day 2

And the fellowship goes on..
Known to be one of the largest countries in Southeast Asia, Myanmar prides itself with its rich cultural heritage and tradition. This was evident during the 2nd day of the convention where delegates showcased songs and praises sang in their different dialects and costumes.

Attended by over 2,000 people, the fellowship served as an opportunity for members to reunite with fellow believers.

Elder Kent Sharpe, AWR Vice President for Finance and Pastor Surachet Insom, AWR Asia Pacific Regional Director were in attendance to express their support in the continuous growth of ministry in this region.

Sharpe and Insom arrived the gathering sharing several significant points about every member’s involvement in the Lord’s work and the continuous growth of radio ministry in Myanmar.

Day 3

So many good things happened in Day 3.

For the first time Adventist World Church President(GC), Elder Ted Wilson together with wife, Nancy Wilson and with the rest of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division(SSD) leaders visited the Myanmar Adventist Union Seminary to join our brethren on their 115th Anniversary of the Myanmar union.

Vistors from GC and SSD joined a parade touring them around the campus welcomed by various traditional dances from Myanmar’s different tribes. Also, Wilson went around the campus to see ongoing projects of the campus and how infrastratures have been developing to better cater the needs pf the students.

After the parade, everyone then proceeds to the convention hall to formaly welcome all the delgates and to hear message from Wilson during the afternoon program.

SSD president, Saw Samuel, closed the vesper meeting with a very powerful message about our response to God’s call for mission.
